Jessica is a highly-skilled, corporate bankruptcy and restructuring attorney. She brings nearly 20 years of experience and a wealth of high-level bankruptcy knowledge to the Firm. Jessica has handled multi-billion dollar corporate restructurings, bankruptcies and complex commercial litigation matters, and has represented debtor, creditor, chapter 11 trustee and financier interests in cases of major note throughout the United States.

Prior to joining the Firm, Jessica spent nearly 14 years practicing in the Business Finance & Restructuring department at Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP. In addition, she has more than 5 years of experience as a bankruptcy administration consultant, first as Vice President of Wells Fargo’s bankruptcy administration unit, and, most recently, as Assistant Director of Bankruptcy Operations for The Garden City Group, Inc. In that role, Jessica skillfully assisted a myriad of debtor clients with all aspects of pre-bankruptcy planning and case administration, including the preparation of schedules and statements, legal noticing, including that related to publicly-held debt and equity, bankruptcy claims analysis and reconciliation, solicitation services, and various cash, securities and other distribution services.

Jessica’s representative engagements include Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc., Crescent Resources, Inc., Medical Staffing Network, Inc., Armstrong World Industries, Inc., Gator Generating Co., Brothers Gourmet Coffees, Inc., Sun Cruz Casinos, LLC, Green Isle Partners, LLP, Golf Communities of America, Inc., Hi-Rise Recycling Systems, LLC, Commercial Money Center, Inc., Greyhound Bus Lines, Inc., Pacific Gas & Electric Co.; Maidenform Worldwide, Inc., Eagle-Picher Industries, Inc., and U.S. Brass Corp.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

Represented global leader in the design and manufacture of floors, ceilings and cabinets in consolidated chapter 11 bankruptcy cases triggered primarily by asbestos liability litigation. Also represented diversified manufacturer of industrial products in its chapter 11 case resulting from significant exposure to asbestos liability.

Represented power co-generation companies in connection with their consolidated chapter 11 cases involving a multi-million dollar contract dispute with FP&L.

Represented chapter 11 bankruptcy trustee in the operation, management and divestiture of Florida’s largest off-shore gaming business.

Represented financial arm of the government of Puerto Rico, in its role as the primary secured creditor, in connection with the chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings concerning the Ritz Carlton Hotel located in San Juan.

Represented lender in consolidated chapter 11 bankruptcy cases of debtor golf communities and properties located in Florida, Texas and Utah.

Represented federal court-appointed receiver in winding-down a $135 million Ponzi scheme, including numerous state and federal court lawsuits against profiteers and recipients of fraudulent transfers.

Represented nation’s largest bus company in connection with much of its post-chapter 11 litigation, including multiple appeals to the United States Supreme Court and the Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Eighth Circuits.

Represented the nation’s second largest beauty salon chain in their consolidated chapter 11 bankruptcy cases from commencement to consummation of reorganization plan.

Represented nation’s leading branded wholesale supplier of gourmet coffees in chapter 11 bankruptcy case.
