| | Eric focuses his practice on business litigation. He has represented litigants in all phases of complex commercial litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts, both in Florida and nationwide. He has a broad range of experience, including cases involving civil RICO, FDUTPA, the Sherman Act, breaches of contract, restrictive covenants and trade secrets, employment discrimination, ERISA, the Fair Labor Standards Act, construction law, commercial foreclosure, and multidistrict litigation. Eric has extensive experience litigating class actions.
Additionally, Eric has been involved in bankruptcy litigation on behalf of debtors such as Lehman Brothers Holdings, Inc., General Motors Corp., SemGroup, L.P., and LandSource Communities Development LLC.
Before joining Meland Russin & Budwick, Eric spent five years at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where he was a member of the firm’s Employment Litigation and Complex Commercial Litigation practice groups. Rrepresentative Experience Represented UnitedHealth Group in several nationwide, multidistrict class actions asserting RICO, antitrust, and state consumer-protection law violations. Represented American Airlines, Inc. in litigation relating to the North Terminal Development Project at Miami International Airport. Represented Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. in a nationwide race-discrimination class action. Represented Lehman Brothers Holdings, Inc. and Lehman Commercial Paper, Inc. in multiple adversary proceedings involving several billion dollars in loans. Represented Oxford Health Plans LLC in a statewide class action alleging violations of FDUTPA.
